One of Tom Cruise’s Cocktail sex scenes nearly left him with a visible injury.
Tom Cruise is a perfect gentleman, both on and off-screen.
This according to Gina Gershon, who co-starred with Cruise in his 1988 film Cocktail, playing a love interest of the actor’s playboy bartender. During Gershon’s latest appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the actress appeared alongside Borderlandsco-star Cate Blanchett and was quizzed by Cohen about whether or not she also had any off-screen hookups with Cruise.
“Do you think I would actually answer that?” Gershon answered with a laugh.
To be fair, the Showgirls star admitted, Cruise was newly married at the time — to his first wife, actress Mimi Rogers — and she was “very present” on set.
“We did kiss as much as we could,” she admitted. “It was like, ‘Should we kiss [in this scene]? Oh, yeah, I think we should.'”
“I told him at one point — he starts off like, under the covers — and I told him I was very ticklish… In one take, I think he wanted reaction and he grabbed my stomach and I kneed him right in the nose.”
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, I just broke Tom Cruise’s nose!'” she recalled with a laugh. “And he was like, ‘No, no, you told me’… He was so protective over me.”
