Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has given birth to a baby girl.

Crosby and her boyfriend, Jake Ankers, had their first child via caesarean section on Friday (14 October).

In an update shared with her followers on Saturday, the TV personality and influencer announced she had become a mother (15 October).

She also shared a photo of Anders in the delivery room, dressed in blue scrubs, on her Instagram story.

Crosby’s father, Gary, tweeted an update, saying, “So, officially a grandfather!” Everything is fine, little girl. “I’m looking forward to the next chapter in our little family.”

The new mother announced her pregnancy in May and has provided fans with regular updates on her pregnancy journey.

Crosby revealed in August that she had chosen a c-section because she wasn’t “keen” on having a natural birth.

“I’ve never been particularly eager to push a baby out of my vagina. ‘I’m too scared to give birth naturally,’ she admitted to new! magazine.

“It’s always been scary to me, and when I had the ectopic pregnancy, it scared me even more.” I know how things can go horribly wrong because I went through that horrifying time when I almost died.”

In 2016, Crosby had an ectopic pregnancy.

When a fertilised egg implants and grows outside of the womb, most commonly in a fallopian tube, this is referred to as an ectopic pregnancy. If the egg ruptures, it will not develop into a baby and will endanger the mother.

As a result, an ectopic pregnancy must be terminated either medically or surgically.

Crosby told Heat magazine at the time that he first felt pain while filming an advertisement for Geordie Shore.

The pain worsened over the next four days, and she eventually went to the hospital.

“I didn’t know what the hell was going on and I was in so much pain. Then the X-ray showed how much damage had been caused,” Crosby said.

“Because I’d left it a week, it’d torn open my fallopian tube and I was bleeding internally. [The doctor] said: ‘It’s so dangerous. If you’d have left it any longer, you could have died.’”
